wanted abandoned place pictures

IF YOU KNOW OF ANY ABANDONED PLACES, GET PICTURES OF IT AND THE SUBMIT THEM TO :iconabandoned-explorers:

We have new regional folders, all pictures go to the featured page, then we move them after awhile to a regional folder. Please make sure there is a rough location on them.

So many places are being torn down, grab a memory today and share it, plus its fun.

I remember we had this old coconut , and it smelled for some reason, even after many years. So the one time while house cleaning, it got chucked...........the the relief of many.

Regards to a Jelly Cabinet

At work we sometimes make things called Jelly Cupboards. In the olden days, were they really used for 'jellies'

And why are there not relish cupboards, or bet cupboards? What did the 'jellies' to that they needed their own safe place to be? And by the way what is a jelly.....really?

What do you wish you still had?

:iconraytash: and myself have been nattering back and forth, and she wishes she still had her old "junk", I still have some of my old "junk", but also a lot of photos of it.

Two things I wish I still had were my old gumby and pokey figures with bendable legs, the other is a old violin in a wooden case, which i gave away to my niece.


SO WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU STILL HAD THAT YOU HAD TO GET RID OF YEARS AGO?

Write me and I'll post the lost items...........hey who knows someone may have just what your missing.

One of my fondest memories is going back to grandpas, each sunday for dinner with the family. One sunday we got there early and his old pony tractor was still out.........I got to sit on his lap and drive it across the road and around the field.
I must have been 7 or 8.......I've loved tractors ever since then.

I've noticed quite a few very old photos are included in the gallery, where the poster was clearly not the original photographer, so I'm hoping that's allowed. I have quite a large collection of photographs that were taken by family members that are no longer living. The photos are mine, no one else has interest in them, they date back to the early 1900's, though most were taken in the late 30's to 60's, depending on the photographer. They've been in my possession for quite a few years. I would like to share some of them, but I'm not really sure what the protocol is for submitting this type of photo to deviant art. I would of course credit the original photographer where known, and otherwise mention that they are old family photos. I don't want to try to say the work is something I shot when it isn't, but there are some really cool photos that I think others would also enjoy. Thank you for any advice anyone has on this topic.

We will welcome them in this group, most old pictures will go in the 'photos' folder.

There is another called, 'people to remember', a kind of living memorial, you can suggest any to go in there.

I'd really love any of the really old ones and b/w ones in my other group, that deals strictly, ( and difficultly, people don't read the rules and they try submitting all kinds of junk) with this kind of photo.:iconvintagecollection:
